Welcome!

This is going to be how I keep must of you updated during my student teaching experience. I am not sure how often I will update this, or what not it just depends on how much time I have during the 16 weeks.


Some basic information that I already know is that I will be at Shonto Preparatory School, which is a BIA school. I am going to be teaching second grade, and there are about 17 students in the class. From the schools, website I learned that the school has 99% of the students on free or reduced lunches.

Some things I know I will have to do to complete the academic part of my student teaching (in order to obtain my masters credits) will be working 15-20 hours a week in the kitchen and dorms... serving food, tutoring, homework help, ect. I will also be completing a service learning project. Then at the end of the semester I will complete a final project, this will probably be a photo journal. Additonally, throughout the semester, I will have reports to do, which are due everyother week about. Within these reports I will answer questions about what I am doing, and other activites that I have completed.

Well, I will update this more when I am out there if not on my way out there.
